Phi Phi Coco Beach Resort Review: 2-Night Stay — Is It Worth Staying on Phi Phi Island?

This Phi Phi Coco Beach Resort review is based on my 2-night stay starting September 12, 2025, during the rainy and off-peak season.

Phi Phi Coco Beach Resort – 2 Nights Honest Review

Phi Phi Coco Beach Resort

Thanks to an off-season deal and a vacation credit card discount, the total cost was around 270,000 KRW (184 USD) for 2 nights with breakfast included.
During peak season, prices often exceed 300,000 KRW (204USD) per night, which is an important point to consider.

Overall, this Phi Phi Coco Beach Resort review focuses on real experiences rather than marketing photos.

Arrival Experience (Heavy Rain, Great Service)

Just as we arrived at the pier, a sudden tropical downpour started.
Fortunately, hotel staff were waiting at the pier to collect luggage.
They carefully wrapped our bags to keep them dry and even lent us umbrellas.

The resort is located about a 10-minute walk from the pier, and after check-in, staff helped carry our luggage directly to the room.

Garden Villa Room – Reality Check

Garden villa at Phi Phi Coco Beach Resort

We stayed in a Garden Villa.
All rooms at this resort are bungalow-style villas, and the room size is the same regardless of price — only the view differs.

⚠️ Important note:
Soundproofing is almost nonexistent.
Yes… the reviews are true. You can hear neighboring rooms, even from the pool area.
Because of this, I do not recommend this resort for families with children.

Amenities were lemongrass-scented and pleasant, but the room felt quite small.
Since all rooms share the same size, I strongly recommend choosing the cheapest room category.

Resort Atmosphere

The resort is designed like a tropical jungle, surrounded by lush greenery.
It feels very natural and relaxing, and the overall vibe is perfect for photos.

Breakfast Experience

Breakfast is served at a restaurant next to the swimming pool, with pool and ocean views.

  • Selection: Simple but satisfying
  • Missing feature: ❌ No noodle station
  • Morning tide: The beach is shallow during low tide

Still, the view alone makes breakfast enjoyable.

Swimming Pool & Pool Bar (Best Part!)

The swimming pool is the highlight of Phi Phi Coco Beach Resort.

  • Direct access to the beach
  • Free rental of floats and balls
  • Relaxed, social atmosphere

🍹 Pool Bar
You can sit inside the water while enjoying drinks.
We had beers, played simple board games, and honestly — this was the best part of our stay.

Beach & Massage Area

The beach is not ideal for serious swimming, but it’s usable.
There are massage spots along the beach, slightly more expensive than local shops, but still reasonable.
Due to rain, we skipped the massage this time.

Is Phi Phi Coco Beach Resort Worth Staying On?

To be honest:

✔️ If you must stay overnight on Phi Phi Island, this is probably the best option
❌ But at peak-season prices, it is not worth it

Rooms are small, soundproofing is poor, and for the same price, you can stay in much better resorts in Ao Nang, Krabi.

I’ve visited Phi Phi Island twice now, and each time I question whether overnight stays are truly necessary.
Phi Phi works perfectly as a day tour destination.

👉 Best recommendation:

  • Stay here only during off-season at a discounted price
  • Otherwise, stay in Krabi and visit Phi Phi by tour

If you are searching for a Phi Phi Coco Beach Resort review to decide whether staying overnight on Phi Phi Island is worth it, this stay offers a realistic perspective.

Overall, this Phi Phi Coco Beach Resort review shows that the resort works best during the off-season, when prices are lower and expectations are managed. Compared to other accommodations on the island, Phi Phi Coco Beach Resort stands out mainly for its swimming pool and pool bar atmosphere rather than room size or soundproofing.

For travelers reading this Phi Phi Coco Beach Resort review, my recommendation is to stay here only if you plan to visit Phi Phi Island during the off-peak season. Otherwise, staying in Krabi and visiting Phi Phi Island on a day tour may be a better option.
